Rise Defy are veterans of the DC hardcore punk scene, with former and current members of Scream, HR Band, Police & Thieves, and many more. The sound has a touch of hardcore punk, but leans more heavily on first wave UK punk bands like The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, and Generation X, fusing those influences with a touch of soul.

Peter Overstreet, singer and guitarist of VA Beach’s Spirit Gun, will open up the night, playing stellar renditions of Spirit Gun songs, some awesome covers, and obscure stuff that he hasn’t played in a very long time. Make sure to come early and don’t miss him!
